What's Cool?!

Yo mama. I'll add a thing of the week here sometime soon.

Yo.

Pst.

Yeah, I'm talkin' to you. Check these bad boys out. They're interesting sites. MDGx Max Speed and WorldWideWeb will do right by you.

Harlan Ellison, you make me scramble through my files way too much; I despise you. Have this audio of him just straight up schmoozing with some college crowd. Credits to Deep Shag Records; check out the rest of the free sounbites here.

There is always something cool to check out. And this song is the definition of cool... cool isn't the right word. Go get yourself a thesaurus and assign it your own word. Now go listen and be a free man.

Like Nina Simone? Want to feel a little less down? Here. I listened to this while writing an entry in "Ranting" and it helped me cheer up quicker than a forest fire.

I've always held that music is the key to many strange interdimensional doors, depositing you at the threshold of whatever emotional feeling, historical moment or theoretical idea it wants you to experience. I've been doing a lot of walking through doors; that's Zelmaish for 'obsessively listening to whatever, whenever'. One particular artist found in those rogue lands has got me body, heart and soul. Laura Nyro's song Beads of Sweat (with Duane Allman on guitar) is probably never leaving my regular rotation.
